I’ve been on a wild hide and seek ride with hope lately.
Perhaps, you have been too.
I shared the four ditty’s below on my Facebook page www.facebook.com/tinasavantgibson
as well as my Instagram page www.instagram.com/tinasavantgibson
and wanted to give you a hope hug as well!
Hope was nestled against a tree hidden in plain sight if I wanted to see.
Man, I wanted to see.
I stared in the silence of its painted neon promise
kinda daring it to make a difference on the doubt-filled path of my wonder.
How could it know I’d been seeking it for some time?
I picked it up, gripping the message that challenged my mustard seed faith.
Until unexpectedly, right on time, Holy smiled at His child igniting an a-ha moment.
While I was holding hope in my hand
Hope had been holding me in His love
all along. XOXO
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23 NIV
Morning sunshine peeks through the dusty blinds of my skeptical soul.
Another day older. Another day wiser.
Well, that’s debatable.
Will I attempt to conquer it on my own or own up to my need for a Savior?
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
take away the aftertaste of my everchanging emotions, God.
Bring hope kept too long at arms length
for fear of disappointments rather than possibilities
or perhaps protection by your Divine intervention.
Father, forgive me.
Weeping may endure for a night.
Oh, how I hate the dark.
But, joy is comin’.
unhinged like a screen door on a glorious windy day
breaks through the dusty blinds of my surrendered soul
and now I see. XOXO
“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 128:24 NLT
My sense of direction is often indecisive
whether I’m doubting the map or more likely myself.
Yet, amidst wandering thoughts which often lead everywhere
Sovereign guides this girl’s unseen with His all-knowing love.
He reminds me
He reminds us, sister traveler
that we don’t need to know the way.
Because He does.
Because He is. XOXO
“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” Psalm 25:4-5 NLT
Why are we so slow to snatch hope
so swift to let it go?
Maybe it’s because hoping is just plain hard.
Help us, God.
Forgive us when we try to solve the mystery of your will be done.
Rescue us when doubts capture our capacity to trust.
Take our shaky hope
saturate it like a waterfall all over the parch of our hopeless drought.
Give us brave to believe. XOXO
“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7 NIV
Oh precious soul, I pray these ponderings will twinge your heart with renewed hope.
You are so loved. XOXO
Spread your joy,
