What a Wonderful World

Hello Dear One,

I am writing daily devotionals over on my Facebook Page this month.

I’d love for you to check them out!

Just click the link below to find them ALL:

I pray they will encourage you with hallelujah hope!

And…I will be back to blogging here in April, so stay tuned.

Love to you from my grateful heart! XOXO

“Well, I see trees of green and red roses too
I’ll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.”
—Over The Rainbow/Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole

The birds were calling my name.

I watched them from the kitchen window, singing joy without a care in the world.
Then, I peeked over to our deck.
The winter cover was crinkled on top of our table.

But, not for long…

I decided to invite the cool of this day to blow the dust away.
From the deck table.
From my weary heart.

This writer girl desperately needed a breathe of fresh air.
And, maybe you do too?

Sweet friend, our normal in the now is anything but.
We can choose to let it lock us in place.
Or, we can change our view.
Even in the smallest things.

A quiet moment in the present can pop open our perspective.
The still can fill our half-empty to overflowing.

Look around your world.
Kids are playing in their yards.
Families are walking together.
People are waving like crazy…from their cars and their bikes and their mailboxes and their backyards. (PS—it’s awesome!)

Yes, even from a social distance, connections appear closer than ever.

It’s beautiful to behold.

When we pause for perspective, our perspective can change.
In the best way.

We may not hug in person, but we can wave across the fence.
Walk around the block.
See another soul.
Sing over the rainbow.

Think to ourselves…
What a wonderful world. XOXO #marchmusicdevos

“The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” Psalm 121:5-8 NLT

Spread your joy,

  1. Thank you for the encouragement, sis. Virginia is one of the states that is moving slow in the numbers of Coronavirus and I am grateful. Our steps have slowed but thoughts do race—I am blessed to have a sis like you to reach out to and know I am not alone. God is near, so near—His hand is holding ours and that helps me in this time.

    Love you, friend…

    1. Grateful for you, Sis. May we all share hope, love, and encouragement with another soul, now and always. Our God is nearer than near. I love you XO

  2. Thank you SO MUCH for your timely words of blessing. . .
As I enjoyed the “Somewhere Over the Rainbow tune & video”, I was gently reminded of the very first rainbow that God made for us, as His promise, that He would never destroy the earth again by flood. Reminded of His love & perfect plan for mankind. . .
He’s got the Corona virus covered along with ANY & ALL CIRCUMSTANCES of this crazy world!
With love & prayer & great BIG HUGS~

    1. Thanks for your beautiful words of encouragement, cousin! Much love to you and yours! XO

  3. I have always heard there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow but don’t know where it ends, don’t know which rainbow, or if there is just the one that appears under certain circumstances anywhere, there is a lot I don’t know. But the rainbow is beautiful, so we’re your pictures & song. Too, always heard “Only God can make a rainbow”, & I believe it!
