Welcome to the Neighborhood

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 (NIV)

I love words.

And pencils.

Words and pencils make me happy.

Throw in a hard copy of Merriam-Webster and I’m dancing around the room!

But now, my love for words and desire to share those words with you has propelled me into the 21st century. (Bring the smelling salts please.)

Today, I am a blogger.

And, I’m so glad you’re here!

You see, this blog is for you and for me.

It’s been a long time coming and I wasn’t ready to write it.

Until now.

For many years, I was in financial services marketing and loved it.

But, that is what I did, not who I am.

In fact, you know what’s even better to share than great loan rates and fabulous service?

Our stories.

You have one. We all do.

So, on this very first day of my very first blog, I’d like to share a very short story…

When I was 9 years old, a neighbor invited me to Vacation Bible School at her church.

I really liked her. So did Mama and Daddy-O. After all, she was always smiling and sooo joyful.

And, on that last Friday in June at VBS, I asked Jesus into my heart.

The love of that neighbor for me changed my life.

Now, it’s your turn, friend.

Whose life can you change with your love?

Whose life can you encourage with your story? XOXO

Spread your joy,

tina
